10. Tilt Chair Cushion

Years in the making, the Tilt Chair Cushion was created for practitioners who prefer or require chair seating, and for anyone looking to support better posture throughout the day. Unlike most seat cushions designed for office ergonomics, this cushion draws from the discipline of seated meditation โ€” where a relaxed yet upright posture is key.

Its defining feature is a subtle, carefully calculated slope: the back of the cushion sits at 5.25 inches high, gradually tapering to 1.75 inches in front. This angle encourages a natural curve in the lower spine, supporting healthy lumbar alignment and allowing the diaphragm and chest to remain open, which is vital for relaxed breathing during meditation or deep focus.

Available in three understated colors (Black, Slate Blue, and Walnut Brown), it blends seamlessly into any setting, whether youโ€™re at home, at the office, or on retreat.

Designed and made here in the Pacific Northwest.

9. Everyday Oryoki Bowl Set

These traditional bowl sets put meditation into action and help to bring attention to the act of eating. Oryoki means โ€œjust enoughโ€ and refers both to the simple, intentional form of eating, as well as the idea of consuming food modestly to keep your meditation practice strong.

This elegant, durable Oryoki bowl set includes utensils crafted from palm wood and cloths in a variety of colors. Whether you have a foodie in your life or just want to slow down during meal times, this is the perfect gift.

8. American Inkin Bell

Our inkin bells are made in the USA by Teido Bill Stephens, a Zen monk, craftsman, and friend of ours here at Still Sitting. They are the only  inkin bells that we know of that are handcrafted in the United States.

Over the years, weโ€™ve sold hundreds of them; customers love their craftsmanship and beautiful sound. The 2.7โ€ bell is constructed using spun brass and black walnut. The clear lasting tone of this bell will call you gently back to your breath.

7. Kuan Yin Statue

Kuan Yin, the Bodhisattva of Compassion in the Buddhist canon, is an elegant addition to any space for prayer, reflection, and meditation. This Bodhisattva is revered in Buddhism for her mercy: forfeiting a place in nirvana in order to aid the suffering of humanity.

We offer a curated selection of beautiful  Kuan Yin statues in a variety of styles, materials, and sizes that will fit any budget.

6. Beach Brick Darumas

Each of these unique Daruma figures is painted by local artist Alex Echivarra onto a piece of brick collected from the beaches of Vashon Island. The bricks themselves carry their own story โ€” made over 120 years ago at Vashonโ€™s brick factory to help rebuild Seattle after the great fire of 1889. Over time, waves and weather have softened and rounded each fragment, leaving a warm, smooth shape.

Alex paints each Bodhidharma figure, a symbol of resilience, new beginnings, and awakening, onto these naturally sculpted brick pieces, adding the kanji character for โ€œluckโ€ ย to every one. Each Daruma stands upright on a naturally flat edge, making it perfect for a small altar, desk, or special place in your home.

The Nomad Bench is comfortable, portable, and flexible. Using a hammock seat design that easily adjusts to your height, the nomad allows the user to comfortably sit in a kneeling position (seiza). When youโ€™re done, just fold it flat and put it awayโ€ฆor under the tree.

2. Classic Round Zafu

For many people, this is where their meditation journey started. The zafu is a classic, time-tested meditation cushion that is comfortable and supportive. When we founded Still Sitting some twenty years ago, this is the first product we made.

We set out to handcraft a zafu that looks good, feels good, and holds up to the test of time; we stand by the quality of these cushions for a lifetime. Available in a wide range of colors and beautiful patterns.

1. Samue Clothing

Samue Jacket

Our samue clothing has become more and more popular every year. This traditional work clothing of Japanese Zen monks is a minimalist, but dynamic outfit, consisting of a long-sleeve jacket top with trousers.

Today the samue is also a preferred garment for meditation practice or relaxing around the house. Weโ€™ve also added a handsome new Linen Samue to our collection this year. Find the perfect style for you by reading our blog post on choosing the right samue.
