Description
Our Phoenix Tail Mala Beads have a beautiful and distinctive natural wood ring pattern. Phoenix Tail Wood is also known as pheasant wood because of its feather-like wood grain resembling the iridescent qualities of a pheasant’s feathers. The Phoenix is a strong symbol for rebirth and resurrection.
Known as japamala, prayer beads, or Buddhist beads, mala beads originated in ancient India. The term “Mala” translates to “garland” in Sanskrit. Using Mala beads in meditation involves repeating a chosen mantra or focusing on the breath with each bead.

Love these wood beaded bracelets! They’re finished beautifully and hang gracefully… thank you for a quality product!
These are exactly what I wanted. I have a rather large wrist and this set of mala beads fits. The number of beads allows for a longer period of breathing and chanting, using the beads as a counter. I’ve been ordering items from Still Sitting for many years – cushions (over 15 for our dojo), zabuton, inkin (at least 3 to give as gifts – the sound and vibration…), mala, and incense. Excellent mindful service and attention to product. Much heartfelt appreciation.
