Our samue meditation clothing is designed and sewn in-house and remains one of our best-selling items. These garments (sometimes called samugi) traditionally served as the everyday work clothing of Japanese Buddhist monks, valued for its ease of movement and simple, functional design. Today, they are worn for meditation, gardening, chores, or lounging.
