American Ceramic Incense Bowls

Description

Our American Ceramic Incense Bowls are hand-thrown ceramic vessels designed for burning pressed incense safely and elegantly. American Potters craft, form, and glaze each bowl, making every piece unique in tone and character. Sized for daily use, these incense bowls support stable, upright placement of incense sticks in sand.

Pressed incense is customarily burned in a bowl or holder rather than a horizontal tray. Sand anchors the stick vertically, allowing it to burn evenly and collect ash neatly within the vessel. This method reduces mess and makes maintenance straightforward.

Each Incense Bowl measures approximately 3.5 inches in diameter and 2.75 inches tall. Fill the bowl 1/3 to ½ full with sand and place one or more sticks of incense to burn. Periodically, you should empty the bowl of incense stubs. We recommend sifting them out with a fork.
