Manjushri is known throughout East Asia as the bodhisattva of wisdom. He is usually depicted holding a sword in his right hand, that allows him to cut through delusion. In his left hand he holds a lotus flower upon which rests the Prajnaparamita (“perfect wisdom”) Sutra. Manjushri usually wears princely garb, bejeweled silks.
Our statue is 5.5” tall, wears a blue scarf, red trousers, and in two of his four hands holds the traditional
sword and lotus flower. He wears a crown and is adorned with blue, red, and green jewels.
