The Bodhisattva Jizo is one of East Asia’s most loved divinities. The Bodhisattva of and guardian to children, statues of him appear all over Japan. He is also known for his vow not to become a Buddha until all the hell realms are emptied. This Jizo is made of cast iron and stands 4” tall.
I love this Jizo stature. It is small but heavy and has a perfect shape. I bought this for someone else but now think I want to order another for me. Jizo is such a welcoming and caring Bodhisattva and I like to have this energy near me.
