ENVIRONMENTAL NEWS
In an effort to reduce our company’s carbon and trash footprint, we’ve recently stopped wrapping our robes and cushions in plastic, and now enclose our robes in tissue paper, and our cushions in 100% recycled (40% post-consumer) paper.
We’re experimenting with elegant ways of wrapping rounded cushions with flat paper; let us know what you think!
We’ve also recently made the switch from Styrofoam packing peanuts to cornstarch ones. The cornstarch peanuts dissolve in water, and smell exactly like popcorn! (If you get some Styrofoam peanuts from us, we’re just reusing the ones we’ve gotten from vendors pass them along if you can)..
NEW CUSHION SETS

We are now offering, for the first time, a cushion set at a discounted price. You can save up to $14 when you buy a zabuton, support cushion, and zafu together and all of the same color.
It’s not just a gimmick actually. First, when we sell a set of the same color, we waste very little material, and we’d like to pass that savings on to you. In addition we’d like to encourage people to buy support cushions, because we believe they can make a big difference in getting to a good sitting posture.
NEW PATTERN ZAFU

We think this is a handsome zafu. Earth tones and Chinese characters make for a classy and distinctive piece. We have a limited supply of this fabric, and when it’s gone, so is this zafu.
ALMOST NEW ITEMS

For those of you who haven’t checked the site recently, here are a few things we added in 2007: A Meditation Bell and Clappers (both made in America); silk, linen, and hemp Rakusus (Soto and Rinzai); Bolsters and Neck Pillows; lots of new incense and incense bowls.
